Office, factory, organized industrial zone, campus, hospital, hotel or city infrastructure, it makes no difference. LoRaWAN enables measurement, monitoring and remote control without laying cables, without per-sensor operator subscriptions and, at most points, without stopping existing operations. The entire process, from site survey to commissioning, is carried out by İletim Mühendislik, the Bursa solution partner of Milesight’s distributor in Türkiye and a ThingsBoard integrator.
There are four pressures bearing down on every organization at the same time, from the factory to the office and from the hospital to city infrastructure. You cannot manage what you cannot see; LoRaWAN provides this visibility economically.
Costs rise every year, yet in most facilities it is not visible on which line and in which shift the consumption occurs. Consumption that cannot be seen cannot be reduced.
If a transformer’s overheating grows unnoticed, the bill for unplanned downtime and repair multiplies. Measure first, and intervene before the problem grows.
Carbon reporting, ESG and customer demands are increasing. Consumption and emissions that cannot be measured cannot be reported; a measurement infrastructure is now a necessity.
Efficiency cannot be improved without knowing which unit, line and shift consumes what. Digital transformation also begins with this data.
An open standard developed by the LoRa Alliance®. Devices send two-way data on unlicensed radio frequencies, at very low power and over distances of kilometers — both measurement and remote control. In a private LoRaWAN network, no operator subscription is required for the sensors’ radio link; while Wi-Fi is limited to hundreds of meters, LoRaWAN reaches kilometers.
The measuring device in the field — battery-powered
Collects the data and forwards it to the internet
Visualization, alarms, analysis
Instant access from anywhere
An economical IoT layer that can be started today and expanded tomorrow.
Installation compatible with operations. For non-contact monitoring, installation can usually be carried out without stopping production; where electrical connections are required, the work and any shutdown are planned during the site survey.
No per-sensor operator subscription. The need for cable infrastructure such as excavation, trunking or conduit is reduced; gateway internet connection, server and maintenance costs depend on the architecture.
Expandable. Start with 10 sensors; the same infrastructure grows to thousands of sensors, and the investment is not wasted.
Commissioning. The number and location of gateways are determined by a site survey; under suitable conditions sensor pairing is completed in a short time.
Note: LoRaWAN is a monitoring layer that complements cameras, PLCs and wired systems. Wired/IP/5G is suitable for high speed and video transmission — LoRaWAN is strong in low-data-volume measurement and slow control.
The same LoRaWAN infrastructure across the office, factory, organized industrial zone, campus, hospital and city — scenarios selected according to need and growing over time.
Three approaches depending on the type of line: an existing analyzer + Modbus bridge, a direct LoRaWAN analyzer, or a clamp-on current sensor (CT). They can also be used together. kWh, power factor and harmonics are measured by the analyzer; the CT101/CT103 monitors current and estimates energy from the configured voltage and power factor.
Sub-meters with pulse/optical output are centralized with a small module; the meter is not replaced. Abnormal/night-time flow is noticed and reporting becomes automatic.
Measure indoor comfort with temperature, humidity, CO₂ and occupancy sensors; save energy by automating lighting and air conditioning.
Monitoring of temperature, liquid leakage, humidity/condensation and door opening. Instant notification when a threshold is exceeded; corrosion and short-circuit risks are seen early.
A module connected to the alarm output of the existing control panel forwards the alarm simultaneously to the people authorised by the facility (security, facility officer, management); it does not take over the function of the existing fire safety system. No rewiring.
Non-contact level measurement in the 0.25–10 m range, depending on the model: raw material silos, chemical/fuel tanks, wastewater channels, and pipeline pressure up to 16 bar.
Monitoring of CO₂, temperature, humidity, dust and VOCs; smart HVAC and lighting dimming according to occupancy. Employee health + energy savings.
Motion-sensor dimming and astronomical scheduling; detection of failed luminaires. Counting of free spaces and guidance in car parks. Full control with remote switching and dimming.
Monitoring of room occupancy, temperature and humidity and door/window status; guest comfort and savings together, with automatic energy reduction in empty rooms.
Temperature, ambient condition and leak monitoring in medicine and vaccine refrigerators; monitor storage conditions with instant alerts when a threshold is exceeded and support the response process.
Track the location, operating time and usage intensity of forklifts, manlifts and site vehicles; plan maintenance intervals and reduce lost and idle equipment.
Monitor the power factor (cosφ), reactive consumption and phase balance; prevent the reactive energy penalties imposed under Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) rules and catch faulty capacitor steps and contactor failures early.
Monitor temperature and vibration trends in motors and pumps and hot-spot heating at panel connections; reduce unplanned downtime by intervening before a fault grows.
Flammable gas and methane leak monitoring, SOS / lone-worker buttons and hazardous-area access monitoring. Critical valve shut-off and ventilation functions are performed by the local safety system; the IoT layer provides monitoring, logging and additional notification.
Diesel tank level and theft alerts, generator running status and hours, UPS/battery temperature and load monitoring; instant notification in the event of a mains outage.
Green-area irrigation, anonymous people counting, vehicle/forklift tracking, cold chain, waste fill level, meteorology, vibration, EV charging monitoring.

The same sensor data goes both to the on-site SCADA and to the cloud: control and alarms locally, access from anywhere and reporting in the cloud.
Data from all scenarios is gathered on a single dashboard, with alarm rules, escalation chains and a shift calendar.
SAMPLE SCREEN · ThingsBoard SCADA
The shift supervisor immediately; if there is no response, 10 min → engineer, 20 min → manager.
Which alarm goes to whom — automatically, by time and role.
The same data on every screen; event and response-time reports.
LoRaWAN includes encryption and authentication: data is encrypted in the field, stored at the facility and shared only with authorization.
Application data is protected with AES-128-based encryption; authentication and integrity protection are applied to network communication. Security also depends on key protection and server configuration.
With an on-prem ThingsBoard installation, data can be kept on the facility’s server; remote access, cloud transfer and external notifications are configured according to the agreed architecture.
People counting with ToF is anonymous; there is no camera footage or identity record; the personal-data assessment is made for the whole recording and integration flow.
Each facility sees only its own data; the industrial zone management sees only a top-level indicator. Unauthorized access is prevented.
All alarms, interventions and access are logged with a timestamp, creating evidence for audit and reporting.
Uninterrupted monitoring with the gateway and server redundancy option; the risk of data loss is minimized.
The investment made is not wasted. The system grows as you add sensors on the same gateway and platform.
Critical control, fault information, temperature-humidity-flooding. Transformer and distribution centers.
Street and common-area lighting control, parking occupancy, waste and level monitoring.
Water, gas and electricity meter reading; faults; consumption tracking and reporting.
Fire panel integration, emergency buttons, door/access control, alarm chains.
Air quality, people counting, smart HVAC; office comfort and energy efficiency.
Logistics and asset tracking, cold chain, OEE and ESG reporting, advanced analytics.
LoRaWAN is an open wireless communication protocol that carries two-way data over distances of kilometers at very low power on unlicensed radio frequencies. It requires no operator subscription, and thousands of sensors can be connected with a single gateway. For detailed technical information, you can read our What is LoRaWAN? guide.
It provides coverage of up to 15 km in open terrain and 2–5 km in cities and on campuses. Coverage varies depending on the gateway location planned through a site survey.

No. Your existing water, gas and electricity meters with pulse or optical output stay in place; a small LoRaWAN reading module is added to them to enable remote reading.
Contactless sensor installations are carried out at most points while existing operations continue; where an electrical connection is required, safe working and any short interruption are determined in the site survey. No cabling is required.
LoRaWAN application data is protected with AES-128-based encryption. With an on-premise ThingsBoard installation, data can be kept on the facility server; people counting is anonymous and no camera or identity records are kept, which makes compliance with Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) easier.
